Day One: A Business Is (Re)Born!

Today is the day I stop wondering what would happen if I had a photography business and begin living my dream.

Binary Webscapes (my web development side business) has been renamed to Intricate Perspectives. My services will now include photography.

Why photography AND web development?
The two are a lot closer than you may think. Most websites include photos. Typically, the web developer will ask the client to provide these photos. This can result in a delay while the client finds a photographer. I can now provide these photos for my clients directly.

What is my experience with photography?
Photography has been my passion for several years. Nearly every weekend I am out with my camera capturing images of the world as I see it. I'm always striving to capture a unique perspective, often combined with intricate details we may miss with our naked eyes.

Nearly a year ago, my passion for photography drove me to create a local photography group, CT Flickr Meetup. This group gathers once a month (with "unofficial" meetups throughout the month) and we travel throughout Connecticut for Friends, Fun, and Photography. CT Flickr Meetup is all about experiencing all our state has to offer while introducing members to like-minded people. This group is making a difference!

Since founding CT Flickr Meetup last year, I have seen endless possibilities for using my photography to make others happy or, better yet, to encourage their own creativity. Nearly all of my ideas start with a business. That's how Intricate Perspectives was born.

What about the day job?
Intricate Perspectives is currently a part-time venture. At the moment, I have many more dreams than time to make the dreams happen. I'm a firm believer in giving all my dreams a shot. I also believe in leaving doors open for alternate dreams.

Some of my dreams lie in the corporate world. Other dreams are outside that realm. My goal is to achieve my dreams in both worlds and to make these dreams co-exist while I guide myself to my destiny.

What type of services are offered?
Website development and website update services are still available. Additionally, I am working on a website, http://www.intricateperspectives.com/, which will allow people to purchase prints of my photos. I'm available for various photography shoots as my schedule allows.
